The hospital started its operations in 2016. Located in Mandaue City; just a walking distance away from Parkmall, few steps from UC Med, MO2 and Westown Lagoon, Mandauehanons are surely glad that Chong Hua Hospital has brought their services closer to the city.
CHH used to be the last hospital in mind that I would go to for maternity package, because of the experience I had with CHH Cebu.
Years ago, to avail CHH Cebu's maternity package, one has to submit a photocopy of her payslip, if employed. If you have a partner/husband, you have to secure a note from your barangay that your partner is not employed. They have a long list of requirements and I was not willing to go through the inconvenience of securing those files and then get rejected because I was earning a little over their required salary to avail their package.
So while at CHH Mandaue, after my second visit to a private OB GYN, I tried to check with their Social Services department, cause maybe, just maybe they aren't that strict anymore. And VOILA! All I needed was to fill out a form and I was in. I just needed to bring in a donor of any blood type who will donate 1 unit of whole blood prior to 35 weeks AOG.

Outpatient Department:
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:00 PM
Saturday 8 AM - 11:00 AM
Sunday - Closed
First come, first serve basis, so you have to be their by 8 AM. Doctors will attend to you and other pregnant women once they are available. They attend to women in labor and delivery room, if more women are in labor or are about to give birth, the doctor will be late. But it's better to be one of the earliest so you won't be asked to go back after lunch. The latest time a doctor came was 10:45 AM and those women with priority numbers over 10 were asked to go back after lunch.
It was December 5th, I was 37 weeks, I was expecting to give birth that day since I was scheduled for an IE. Based on my experience with my 3 other children, every after IE, I will be admitted to the labor room. And I was right again this time. I was already 3 cm and was asked to proceed to the labor room to monitor my contractions. After 30 minutes, the doctor at the labor room conducted another IE and I was at 5 cm and was admitted.
Labor Room:
Very clean, organized and friendly staff. I was assigned a nurse, her name was Julie, who I can call anytime for assistance. It felt like I did not avail of their package deal because of the care they provided while I was at the labor room. They also provided a hygiene kit complete with everything you need (toiletries) in your stay. Feeling VIP.
Delivery Room:
Fast forward, after 12 hours of labor I was brought to the Delivery Room, which surprised me because of their high end equipment and organized, sanitized delivery room. They were very gentle and patient with me, the doctor (Lemuela Abecia) was superb and I felt like she was already a very dear friend, the way she handled my cries and demands.
Maternity Ward:
It was a suite shared by two mothers with our own comfort room and two beds divided by curtains. With high tech mechanical beds (very comfortable), outlets, dining table. Every time your baby needs feeding, a nurse will inform you and they will call a certain personnel with a wheelchair to escort you to the nursery and back to your room after breastfeeding. Every time you go out of your suite and go to some parts of the hospital, they will not allow you unless a personnel with a wheelchair escorts you. Their service was very satisfactory. Staff/nurses were very friendly, neat and polite. They will take good care of you in your 2-day stay at the hospital if you and your baby do not have any complications.
They also provide free pedia visits for your baby, they administer vaccines at a discounted price.
The hospital also has stores, restaurants, spa, salon.
7/11, 10 Dove Street, Dragon Bowl Chinese restaurant, Afternoon Tea Spa, David's Salon and a food court, which is very clean and their food are tasty.
